1998 Ibanez Performance PF5NT Acoustic Guitar

Classic look and feel, great beginner guitar from a company with a great reputation

 

Like Ibanez electric guitars, this dreadnought has a thin neck that plays real easy, combine that with it's budget line status and it makes for the perfect beginner guitar.
This guitar looks great, the wing-tipped pickguard (tortoise shell) and bridge combination give it a classic vintage feel.

The overall sound does leave a bit to be desired, but you can't really have it all in this price range. Not recommended for gigging or recording, but not a bad beater for the intermediate player. You can pick up a used model in various online locations, usually starting at around $75.
